High Efficiency Toilets
LCRA offers free WaterSense® labeled, high-performance HETs (high-efficiency toilets) to qualified customers. Replacing two older toilets with HET models can save approximately 12,000 gallons each year. If your home was built prior to January 1, 1996, you can apply to replace up to two toilets per home. This program does not replace existing 1.6 gallon per flush toilets.
These products don't just save water, they work well. WaterSense® labeled toilets are independently tested and certified for their performance. The current model distributed through the program is the Pro-Flo PF9300 toilet with dual flush technology, available through Ferguson Plumbing Supply. To get more information on how the toilets are tested and certified, visit the Maximum Performance (MaP) test project site where the latest report summarizes the flushing performance for over 1,400 different toilet fixture models.
To qualify for the HET program, you must receive your water from a current program participant. View the list of current participants to see if you qualify.
